KAPAN MOSQUE
Kapan Mosque is located in the city center of Kırklareli.
History
It is in the city, located near the new municipality building. It was built by Karaca İbrahim in 1640.
Preservation
The building is under preservation.
Area Descriptions
Other name of the structure is İbrahim Bey Mosque and is still open for worship. The building is essentially a square planned, the old mufti building was added later. Exterior surface of the walls are properly stone covered and between of stone sequences there are bricks. The roof has four echelon and covered with marseilles tiles on wood floors. Minaret has regular ashlar masonry, one balcony and a cone made of cut stone.
